In RS, one of the most fundamental principles of Blizzard is concentrating the coolness. Once you make the items of content in a way that is too broad it will become quite overwhelming to players. We noticed in the early stages we had the attacks that occurred across different parts of Azeroth but we then decided partially for the fantasy aspect, partially for the story that the Legion was going to focus around the Broken Shore and its immediate surroundings, namely known as the Broken Isles. It was partly because believed that the game lends itself very well for this.
MD The major ideas in the patch is that we're planning to return in The Broken Shore and reclaim the Broken Shore. This is the place where the Legion expansion really began. The way to start the Legion was you went through the Broken Shore, you fought Gul'dan as well as all these other major baddies, and we suffered major losses. We lost Tirion and Vol'Jin, we lost Tirion as well as Varian massive losses, and we were forced to withdraw. So this patch is all focused on the next chapter of the tale and moving that forward.
An interesting aspect and also included in this patch are the Class Orders. The Class Orders form an important part of "Why we are going to succeed where we've failed before." That's the point. A majority of the time, with Class Orders, we do visit the other locations. As part of the Monk class order with this patch, you'll have to revisit Stormstout Brewery. These are great chances to spread players out in a way that reminds them of the vastness and vitality of the world is. You are able to see the progress from "Oh it's the Legion is actually spreading its tendrils out a bit."
R: I think it's slightly better to concentrate on players who go far to the other regions of Azeroth instead of having players constantly spread out. It's more in the interest of the player experience more than anything else.
