Malaysian millionaires gamble lost 175 million, suing 'casinos', why didn't know how to ban!
A Malaysian billionaire has decided to fileSLOTXOa lawsuit against a British casino, accusing him of "no prohibition" for allowing him to gamble until he lost up to £3.9 million, or about 175 million baht, in just 72 hours.
The Daily Mail reports that 62-year-old billionaire Han Joeh Lim is suing private casino club Aspinalls, alleging that it breaches responsibility under the Gambling Act of 2005.
Lim, whose business includes real estate, steel and computer chips. And has assets of about 40 million pounds, became a member of this casino in 2014 and received a maximum withdrawal limit of 600,000 pounds, or about 27 million baht.
The billionaire said that in 2015 he gambled and lost all his money, but Aspinalls added it to £1.9million and then another £2million, which eventually went bankrupt.
Court records show that Lim gambled for 72 hours "with little to no breaks", and as a result of the lawsuit four years later, Aspinalls won, and Lim was fined again. £100,000 'contempt of court' charge for deliberately perjury during trial
However, Lim has not given up on trying to turn over the case. and has filed a lawsuit in the High Court of London seeking the £3.9million lost from Aspinalls.
The reason this millionaire claims is He is an elderly person in the network “Vulnerable groups of people who deserve to be protected from harm or exploitation by gambling” under the Gambling Act of 2005 and because Aspinalls breach their responsibilities herein. All liabilities must therefore be considered “void”.
Aspinalls said it was ready to fight the lawsuit fully. and declined to comment further.
