Heatwave engulfs Europe, warning of death Paris forecast for the hottest this Saturday

The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts that Saturday, June 18, will be the hottest day in Paris this month. Temperatures are expected to be between 38-39C and could break the record for the hottest day in the French capital since 1947.
Climate scientists have warned that heat waves like these will become more frequent and severe because of the climate crisis. Five of the 10 hottest days in Paris have occurred in June since 2017.
