Hi, this in in the United States for reference. This summer I have been working as an intern at a relatively large corporation. I have been fortunate enough to build positive relationships with both my supervisor and rest of my team. To get to the point; my supervisor recently experienced the unexpected death of a loved one in their family. Due to this tragedy, they will not be able to attend my presentation on the project that I worked on over the summer. I was thinking, would it be appropriate to send a card or a similar token to offer sympathy business etiquette training? We live about 5 states apart and most of our work was done virtually. I am comparatively clueless on how to handle this situation, and would be greatful for any advice from someone who has been in this situation before.
