Quoting Concrete floor grinding question

I have a room with concrete floor in my basement that I want to put flooring on but it has a ridge that needs to be removed. A large concrete grinder on wheels rents for $185 including my gas! Would an angle grinder work for this? I need to take off about 1/8" on a 6" wide area that goes about 12 Ft. Thanks.
